'Can babies really do yoga?' YES! Babies and young children naturally move into and out of yoga poses as part of their regular movements. Baby yoga poses are gentle, movement exercises that combine variations of traditional yoga poses with developmentally enriched movement patterns.

Baby yoga has many benefits. Yoga movements help babies chart a path for growth and development. Babies who are given the opportunity to explore movement have greater confidence and ability when it comes time to sit, crawl, and walk. In addition to the physical benefits, babies who move with freedom as well as intentional guidance learn trust, which is the basis for healthy socio-emotional development. The physical contact with mom also soothes baby’s nervous system while bolstering immunity, circulation and physical growth. Babies connect into the joyfulness of yoga in a special way

In Baby Yoga and Massage classes, both yoga and infant massage techniques are taught. Each class includes yoga movement, songs and infant massage, designed to enrich baby's development and deepen the parent/baby bond.  Massage and movement combinations are taught that improve sleep, digestion, and learning.
